Your Body Has Been Trying to Tell You Something

July 02, 2026•3 min read

Welcome to the very first edition of the blog! I'm so glad you're here.

Every month I'm going to show up the same way I show up everywhere else — honest, from the heart, and with something real to share. No fluff. No performing. Just the truth about what it actually looks like to live, heal, and grow after a brain injury.

This month I want to talk about something your body has been doing since the day you were injured — something most of us were never taught to pay attention to.

Your body knows more than you do. It always has.

Here's what I mean.

After my injury, I spent years living from my neck up. Thinking. Analyzing. Performing fine. All while my body was quietly sending signals I didn't know how to read — tension before a difficult conversation, a held breath when life felt unsafe, a chest that tightened before I even knew I was scared.

I didn't know those signals were guidance. I thought they were symptoms.

The day everything started to shift was the day I took one conscious breath — on purpose, with intention.

I had been learning about living in the present moment and I needed something physical. Something I could actually feel. Something that told my body "you are here, right now."

Breath became that anchor.

But here's what I didn't expect: I came to the breath thinking I needed to fix myself. I now know I never needed fixing. The breath didn't fix me. It introduced me to myself — present, enough, right here.

And here's what I've learned after years of practicing it: that one breath creates a pause. And in that pause lives a choice. A choice in alignment with who I really am. That pause is where self sabotage loses its power. That pause is where suffering begins to dissolve.

Here's the simplest version I know:

The next time you feel resistance, tension, or a reaction rising — before you say or do anything — breathe in through your nose for 4 counts. Hold for 4. Out through your mouth for 4. Hold for 4.

That's it. That one cycle is your body being given permission to feel safe enough to guide you instead of protect you.

My family still reminds me to breathe. It never stops being the answer.

A special invitation:

I'm currently running a beta round of my foundational program — the exact daily steps I've built my own healing on, including the breath work, mirror work, grounding, and more. All of it is simple. All of it lived, not studied.

Because this is a beta round, I'm offering it at a founders price — and in exchange I ask for your honest written feedback at the end. That's the whole deal.

If something here made you think I needed to hear this — I'd love to connect. Just send me an email - [email protected] - and send the word BREATHE and I'll reach out personally to share the details.

No pressure. No pitch. Just a conversation.

With love and belief in your journey,
